Meet Mable the 1983 latest giveaway competition Mini.
She’s an edgy Mini City E thats just been through a complete and comprehensive restoration and everything on her is basically brand new. She’s painted in Cumulus Grey which is an original BMC colour and has an Old English White roof which just sets her off. The perfect cafe racer starting point.
She started life with a 1000cc engine but during the restoration a refurbished 1275cc Metro engine was chosen as the beefed up replacement which pulls along very very well. This sports a 3 branch manifold and straight through centre exit exhaust. Running great improvements like a fletcher aluminium radiator and hoses, Electronic ignition and uprated alternator. Everything has been carefully prepared and repainted. Notice the matching red theme throughout the engine, brakes and interior.
Having been converted to the all important 7.5 inch front discs, it of course has to have 10 inch wheels, these are the best in my opinion, Dunlop D1’s wrapped in Nankang 145/80 R10 69s.
Having traveled only 500 miles since being completed its like new. Its never seen rain other than when I collected it for a 10 minute shower but was dried off before going undercover.
Interior wise we have all the important information with a central binnacle, temperature and oil pressure gauges. All black door cards, door furniture and headlining. The standard City E seats are in perfect condition and look brand new.
This is as good as it gets with regards to condition, it’s like new.
I will also be offering a second and third prize of £200 & £100 cash.
